I am about ready to get the Xwinder however does anyone know if the Xwinder has the ability to, or can be modified to, wrap the mandrel and part with Dunstone's Heat Shrink Tape? The application we plan on using it for requires Heat Shrink tap
I am currently working on a project in an undergradate research role. We are working closely with X-Winder products, and I was hoping I could find a model of any X-Winder series to use in a simulation. I would love to use the whole assembly, but only
The FAQ page mentions a section called “For Developers: Programming / Hacking” for custom software control. I can't seem to find this page or resource anywhere. Is this available anywhere?
I can't get the mandrel to rotate anti-clockwise. Have tried M3 and M5 and also a S-70, none seem to work. M3 still did clockwise, M4 does clockwise, M5 stops the wind, M2 isn't recognised.
Any help please, have changed my head setup and would prefer
New to the forum having recently bought a 2X-23 winder, not new to filament winding, so was trying to write my own g-code files and use incremental values for things like layer count so I didn't have to have a very long g-code file. Unfortune
Hey all, we have been messing around with our 4X-23 machine and have had a couple successful winds. However we have been having an issue with our shink tape layer.
You can see in the pictures below, we are getting these weird voids/pockets when we app
Working with a 4x-23. Had an issue with the carriage stepper motor freezing up randomly. If I change the axis controller between carriage and mandrel, mandrel motor will seize up and the carriage runs fine. Problem seems to be tied to the con
My purchase of a 2x23 X-Winder is still about three and a half months away. In the mean time I've been searching the internet for specific information about what exactly would be the best Carbon Fiber filament and the best Bonding Agent/Resin/Epoxy

Hello, is there a better explanation of how to wire the winder up? I'm just not understanding how there are 4 identical axis controllers and dont see how they are labled or defined in the assembly pdf online, my winders didnt come with a user manual.
We recently upgraded the PC our X-Winder was connected to, and we're running into an issue. Whenever we try to run Executor, it throws an error stating some control boards aren't attached.
We have a 2 axis setup. As far as I know, everything is set
I've set up and have been getting familiar with the setup (we have a 4X-34 setup). Everything seems to running smooth, except the carriage directionality seems to be off. When I press the 'right' option the carriage goes away from the end with the
