Hi, I am comtemplating purchasing an x-winder to do some prototyping and I wanted to make sure the system will meet our needs. In the x-winder software, are you able to vary the wind angle within a single layer? We are wanting to produce a cone by having more material buildup on one side of the mandril than the other. The end goal is to have a tube with a uniform diameter but a cone shaped interrior. Thanks in advance for the help!
You need to be a member of X-Winder to add comments!

I am part of a rocketry team who has extensively used the xwinder for parobolic, von karmen, and conical nosecone manufacture, so yes variable geometry cones are possible on this machine.
HI Scott,
Are you still winding nosecones with your XWinder? Our rocket team is about to tackle this challenge and are hoping to get some advice from someone who has been there before.
Thanks,
Nick
