End Angle

Can anyone explain to me what the "add'l end angle" does for the winding?  I have tried it at multiple settings and can't determine how the instrument is using this setting.

    1. When the carriage dwells  at the end of a pass and it is waiting for the mandrel to reach the right orientation angle, the additional end angle is the amountOf degrees that are added to the mandrels rotation angle before of the carriage moves in the other direction
